Strategic
Questioning involves a special type of questioning and a special type
of listening. Anyone can use strategic questions in their work and
personal lives to liberate friends, coworkers, communities, political
allies and adversaries to create a path for change.
Fran
Peavey describes this as "a process which invites our ideas to
shift and take into account new information and new possibilities.
It awakens the suppressed possibilities of change embedded in each
person, in each institution and in each society."
See http://www.crabgrass.org/strategic.html
for more information on this approach.
This
workshop presents a rare opportunity to connect with Fran Peavey,
an internationally renowned community social change worker who initiated
the Heart Politics movement.
This lecture and workshop are the only events to be held in Queensland
during Fran's Australian tour.

Lecture
"Heart Politics: Thinking like water"
Monday 13th August 6.30pm
Registration $15 waged / $10 unwaged
International
social change worker and comedian Fran Peavey talks about her latest
book "Heart Politics revisited" which grew out of her experiences
in social and environmental change across several continents, including
the civil rights and anti-Vietnam war struggles in the United States,
the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, the Minimato poisoning
disaster in Japan, the clean-up of the Ganges River and, more recently,
the refugee crisis in Bosnio and Kosovo. She will discuss our potential
to create positive social change in a time when power is shifting
and traditional alliances are fragmenting and re-forming, and will
focus on the transformational effect of ordinary people at both the
community and individual levels.
