In the lecture "Thinking Like Water: Power and Change in Society", Fran will reflect on the means for achieving social and community change through empathy, non-violence, co-operation and person-to-person contact. Community Conflict Transformation
Full Day Workshop

Tuesday 7th August, 9.30am to 5.30pm
Venue: to be advised
un-waged $50, part-wage $80, full wage $110
bookings essential

In the workshop "Community Conflict Transformation", Fran will draw upon her experiences in nonviolence and social forgiveness to discuss ways of reducing the destructive 'us and them' separation between groups entrenched in conflict. More than an intellectual outline of the issues, the workshop will take participants into the very heart of social healing, and will explore the spiritual dilemmas involved in working for peace and nonviolence as a transformational energy. Fran will explore the metaphor of "thinking like water" to describe the power, flexibility, resilience, and patience involved in working for social change.
